Hi, my name is George Papanikolaou and I am running for president of Tufts Club Greece. I graduated from Tufts on 2002 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and double major in Economics, and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering (Robotics). I am occupied in the engineering field and in the wine business. I am running for a third term in this position in order to continue and enhance the ongoing work of the past years. The team's goal is to enhance the bonds between the alumni members and between the university and keep them tight. This can be done by holding regular events with a social, professional and academic character. Also, to hold joint events with other alumni clubs and to help out in the admissions process for new students. It is my goal to guide this work during the following term and for this I need your vote. Thank you.

Coming back to Greece after more than ten years abroad, I was happy to find a great group of Tufts alumni. As a Fletcher '06 graduate, I got involved with our small but strong community here and became Secretary of the Fletcher Club of Greece. Of course, Fletcher is part of Tufts and so I put myself forward for the Tufts Club of Greece elections -now for the second time- to continue the active Fletcher presence in the Tufts board that ensures smooth cooperation. Serving at the board of Tufts Club since 2007 is a truly interesting, productive and exciting experience.

Currently, I work at the Ministry of Regional Development & Competitiveness. I grew up in Kavala, went to undergrad in Manchester, UK, masters in the field of telecoms at UCL, worked in London for four years and then left the private sector to become an "advanced generalist" at Fletcher with a focus on international negotiations and business relations. Following that I did my compulsory military service and worked for the Navarino Network in Thessaloniki, a civil society initiative aiming at public policy innovation.

Hi!

I am Constantina Dalassou and I have been serving as the Secretary of our Tufts Club for the last term that is expiring now.

I was privileged to be accepted in the Post graduate Orthodontic Program at Tufts Dental School from where I graduated with a Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Orthodontics.

With a dual scholarship from Tufts for my third year of graduate studies and an International scholarship from the American Association of University Women I undertook an experimental Laboratory research project that led to a Master of Science from Tufts and a Doctoral degree from the University of Athens .

In the pursue of excellence in my Specialty I completed the exams and clinical requirements that rendered me the title of Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics(1995) and with a similar process I became Active member of the Angle Society of Europe(2007).

Needless to say I belong to the Greek Tufts Dental Alumni group and my profession takes up a considerable amount of my time and effort always under the spectrum of acquiring the new knowledge in my scientific field.

However in order to nurture my humanity that exists beyond everyone’s science and since I believe in open horizons, diversity, multicultural mixtures and interactions I decided to work for the general Tufts Alumni.

During this term we hosted three interesting events with guest speakers some very important Tufts graduates: the Astronaut Rick Hauk in 2008, Professor of Philosophy and author Daniel Dennett in 2009 and Professor of American History and Pulitzer Prize winner Martin Sherwin in 2010.

Working for Tufts keeps my never ending love for Tufts and Boston alive.

Working with people from Tufts brings back to Greece the spirit of team work and cooperation that we so much enjoyed while studying there and so much long for while here

For all these important reasons I am running again for Secretary of the Club ready to organize more multicultural events that bring us close together and help us propagate the name of Tufts

Thank you !

Hello,

This is the third time I run for the Tufts Alumni Board, having already served as the Tufts Alumni Club Treasurer for two terms.

I graduated with a BSc (1997) and an MSc (1999) in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University. After graduation, I moved to California and landed a job as an Application Developer in TenFold, a technology firm located in San Francisco. Following my return to Greece, in 2001, I served as a IT Consultant at Accenture and then I held two positions within the Viohalco Group; as a Product Manager in ELVAL and as a procurement executive at Steelmet. Since 2008, I work as a Senior Contract Manager in Vodafone.

Tufts University has been a milestone for my professional and personal growth. Proud to be part of the Tufts heritage, I want to share our values and ideals and also develop networking opportunities within the Tufts alumni in Greece.

In this election, I am running again for the Club’s Treasurer, willing to devote even more time and energy to the Tufts Alumni Community in Greece. Thank you!

Dear fellow alumni,

My name is Petros Damoulis (DG91, D05) and I am asking for your support in my bid to become a member of the board of directors. I am currently in private practice limited to Periodontology and dental implants in Athens. I have lived in the US for 19 years, where I pursued an academic career in dentistry. My association with Tufts started in 1989, when I entered the postgraduate program in Periodontology, graduating in 1991. I have also received a DMD (dental degree) from Tufts.

In 1999 I was recruited by Dean Lonnie Norris to become the Director of Advanced and Graduate Education at the Dental School. I was a full time faculty member until 2008, at the ranks of Associate Professor and Professor. During this 9-year tenure I had the opportunity to interact with the Tufts community at every level. Working with the people and for the people of Tufts has been one of the highlights of my professional life. Most of all, I have enjoyed the sense of teamwork and the spirit of community that was prevalent in the School as well as the Univesity.

I maintain close ties with my alma matter and I am committed to supporting the values that Tufts stands for: global consciousness, teamwork and innovation. Joining the board of directors of the Tufts Club will give me the opportunity to promote Tufts and its values in Greece.
